Dr. Christophersen, Dr. Phelps, and Dr. Aanestad of Davenport Surgical Group provide services at the Genesis Center for Bariatric Surgery, located in MOB II, Suite 101. All seven surgeons at Davenport Surgical Group provide evaluation and management of colon and rectal diseases, however, Dr. Douglas Khoury has additional training in this area. Dr. Khoury has been with Davenport Surgical Group since 1996. He provides surgical management of cancer of the anus, rectum, and colon (anal sphincter-sparing procedures), diverticular disease, both open and laparoscopic, ulcerative colitis and Crohn's. Diagnoses and treatment of complex anorectal problems, hemorrhoid, fissure, and anal fistula treatment, medical and surgical.
Our patients are encourage to call the office for advice if a health problem arises. Our nurses are trained to answer your questions and advise you appropriately. Your surgeon is always notified of any questions you have asked. If you specifically ask to speak to a surgeon or if the nurse cannot deal with your problem, one of our surgeons will speak to you directly as soon as he is available.
Requests for renewal of prescriptions, especially narcotic pain medication, will only be done during business hours.
Payment for service provided by Davenport Surgical Group, P.C., is the responsibility of the person receiving those services or their legal guardian. Payment is expected at the time service is provided unless specific alternative arrangements are made.
Because today's health insurance environment is complicated and sometimes confusing, Davenport Surgical Group, P.C. maintains a specialized staff to assist patients with obtaining their just benefits from their health insurance companies. Patients are responsible for providing us with the information we need to assist them.
We accept Medicare assignment. We will file insurance claims with all major health insurance carriers including Blue Cross and Blue Shield, John Deere, and various other PPOs and HMOs.
